Your day begins with an approximately 2-½ hour train ride to Berlin. Once you arrive, you'll meet your local tour guide for a comprehensive coach tour through the capital city. Berlin is a very special and unique destination so sit back and enjoy the historical sights and architectural landmarks that no other city can provide. Some of the iconic sights you'll see include the infamous Berlin Wall, Check Point Charlie, the Holocaust Memorial, and the Reichstag Building to name a few. When hunger calls, you'll stop at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch. Back on the coach, you'll continue sightseeing. Your guided tour ends at Kurfurstendamm Boulevard Germany's most famous shopping mile. Here, you can disembark for approximately 45-minutes of free time. When it's time to call it a day, relax and enjoy the rail journey back to the ship. Water and a small snack will be served during the train rides.
Special Notes:
The train ride between Warnemünde and Berlin is approximately 2½ hours each way. The train is air-conditioned. This tour is not available to passengers beginning or ending their cruise in Warnemunde. Tour sequences may vary to avoid congestions at venues. The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain.It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Shopping location may vary as most shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be open.
