Brandenburg Gate -
The Brandenburg Gate was formerly used to represent the separation between East and West Berlin. Built in 1791, it was one of many old city gates around the city of Berlin. The decorative Pariser Platz was laid at the foot of the gate and is now home to many of the city's important buildings.

Sachsenhausen was one of the most notorious death camps of the Nazi empire, and a training center for SS soldiers. The camp was liberated by Allied troops in 1945.
