The dramatic coastline of Wellington is not to be missed. Settle in to see the sights and to visit a working farm on a picturesque 4 hour adventure. Your motorcoach follows the harbor past Petone, where Wellington's first settlers landed, and then travel along the coast, through charming villages and serene bays. See New Zealand's oldest lighthouse and arrive at Pencarrow Station Lodge, a privately owned sheep station surrounded by thousands of acres of regional parks with panoramic vistas of the Storm Coast. Here, you will be treated to a farm dog and/or sheep shearing demonstration and an engaging talk about the property plus morning or afternoon tea. On a clear day the views from this location are stellar across the Cook Strait to the snow-capped Kaikoura Ranges on South Island.

Special Notes:

Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the day's conditions.

Bring a camera, hat, light jacket and adequate sun protection.
