Soar over Norway's pristine natural wonders on a 30-minute aerial adventure that showcases the unique beauty of Tromsø and its highlights. A short motorcoach ride brings you from the pier to the helicopter base. Meet your pilot and settle into a comfortable four- or five-seater helicopter. Have your camera at the ready for the spectacular, picture-postcard views. Before you know it, you are up and away looking down on the rugged mountains that surround the city, which contains the highest number of old wooden houses in northern Norway, the modern Arctic Cathedral, the stately university and the Tromso Bridge. See the popular cable cars, circle majestic mountain Tromsdalstinden and glimpse the Lyngen Alps. Your route also takes you over the shipwrecked ruins of a World War II battleship built by the German navy before returning to Langnes Airport. Back on terra firma, return to the ship.
Special Notes:
This tour is dependent upon safe flying conditions. All flights subject to weight and balance limitations, and weather. The operator cancels only if the weather is so bad you will not enjoy it due to visibility and wind. The maximum weight of each passenger must not exceed 120 kilograms (260 pounds). There is a step to board and, for safety reasons, guests cannot be carried on to the helicopter - if you are unable to board, no refund will be possible. If seated in a wheelchair, you will be helped on board. It will be a four- or five-seater helicopter. The pilot will decide seating arrangements - please note that not all participants will have a window seat, although we are assured that everyone will enjoy a good view. There will be commentary and guided tour during the flight in English. The transfer time each way is approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic. It should be noted that guests may have a wait, either before or after the flight - if transport to/from the aircraft is shared. There is walking involved on this tour to reach the transport, and vice versa, as well as a short walk at the heliport. Please bear in mind that the ground may be icy or snowy. Please dress according to the weather conditions on the day. Visibility, views and the route will depend on weather conditions.Flying time approximately 26-33 minutes.
