This is a tour full of Alaska adventure, history and awe-inspiring wilderness. For years to come, you will love talking about your thrilling sled ride in Alaska, your newfound mushing experience, and the adorable puppies! Your easy half-day adventure includes the scenic roundtrip drive from your ship in Skagway to Dyea for intriguing insight into Alaska's Klondike National Historical Park. At the Musher's Camp ™ take an exhilarating sled ride pulled by a team of powerful Alaska Huskies, some of whom have competed in world-renowned races like the Iditarod and Yukon Quest, learn about this adventurous sport from experienced mushers at an informative "Kennel Talk", and enjoy play and photo time with a passel of tail-wagging puppies. Your tour also includes a 4x4 Unimog drive to a dramatic look-out point over the Dyea tidal flats, a crackling fire, and the unique gift shop laden with enticing souvenirs.
Special Notes:
Some walking on uneven terrain may be required and ride may be bumpy. Guests must be able to raise their legs 8 inches to accommodate several steps. Sled dog ride covers one mile. In order to participate, children must be able to understand the rules of interaction with the dogs and a parent or guardian must be present to supervise any interaction.Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children between the ages of 16 and 18 must have a signed parental consent form and provide advance notice to participate without a parent or guardian.
