Only 19 miles long, the Casablanca Valley, Chile's award-winning wine country, is noted for its top-quality white grapes, like sauvignon blanc and chardonnay. After a visit to a local winery, you'll proceed to Estancia El Cuadro. This sun-kissed vineyard, one of the region's leading estates, offers an opportunity to learn about the region's eco-friendly wine-making process and on-sight museum displays the original machinery used for the production of wine in the early 1900s. Explore the vineyards aboard a horse-drawn carriage, and taste some of the wines from this region while watching a folkloric show performed by Chilean cowboys followed by a buffet lunch. Then, travel to Santiago for a scenic drive to the beautiful handicraft village of El Pueblo de Los Dominicos. Browse in the handicraft shops to see artisans working in copper, wool, ceramics, lapis lazuli and other indigenous materials. Then, transfer to a downtown hotel or Santiago Airport.
Special Notes:
During inclement weather, lunch will be served at the Club House at Estancia El Cuadro. This option is available only to guests whose cruise ends in San Antonio, with flights departing after 9 p.m.Details
