Travel through the Tijuca Forest to the summit of Corcovado Mountain, Rio's highest peak and home of the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue. Ride through the lush Tijuca Rainforst in a van, then continue up escalators to the main viewing platform. Here, you can pause and photograph this artistic wonder as you take in the stunning surroundings and dramatic blue skies. Completed in 1931, the 125-foot-tall concrete and soapstone statue is acclaimed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. More awe-inspiring views are in store as you journey further into Tijuca National Park, a tropical rainforest that sits in the heart of Rio. Once you disembark at the Paineiras Visitors' Center, you can explore the exhibition space, restaurant and gift shop before rejoining the bus for the return trip to the ship.
Special Notes:
This tour does not include a ride on the train but instead utilizes vans as transportation up Corcovado Mountain. The road in the park is too narrow for buses to navigate; you will switch to vans to ride in the park. Every seat on the van will be filled in order to make the journey in a timely manner.Details
