Ascend Olden Valley, passing small farms, numerous waterfalls and the glorious Melkevoll Glacier, en route to the pretty Briksdal Inn. Accompanied by your guide, enjoy a hike to the magnificent Briksdal Glacier, which is situated in Jostedalsbreen National Park, and flows over 3,937 feet down into the Briksdal Valley. During your 45-minute guided hike (which takes around 90 minutes round-trip) you will enjoy a unique view of this breath-taking scenery. Sturdy walking shoes, or hiking boots are required, and you should also bring a warm sweater. Depending on availability, electric buggies may be hired for an additional fee to take you within a ten-minute walk of the glacier. After hiking up to this incredible glacier, you will be able to take the weight off your feet, and enjoy complimentary pastries with coffee or tea at the scenic Briksdal Inn, before heading back to the ship.
