Visit Haleakala National Park where you can view the volcanic crater, then explore the wonders of the deep at the Maui Ocean Center on this all-day excursion. En route to Haleakala, your motorcoach travels a circuitous road, traveling uphill for miles to park headquarters. Last erupting in 1790, the volcano's massive crater is over seven-miles long and three-miles wide. The crater floor is located 3,000 feet below the rim and dotted with plant life and cinder cones. Enjoy the breathtaking view at the crater 's rim. At Maui Ocean Center, see dozens of amazing exhibits include the Living Reef, a Marine Mammal Discovery Center, a Touch Pool and the Living Journey, where you can walk through a 54-foot underwater transparent tube surrounded by all matter of marine life, including sharks, the great hunters of the sea. A sit-down lunch will be served. Afterwards you'll have time to visit the gift shop, offering souvenirs, such as apparel, art, books, jewelry and Hawaiian crafts before we re-board the motorcoach for the return route back to the ship.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and a sweater or jacket. Temperatures can drop dramatically at the crater. Due to climatic changes, views may become hindered or blocked by clouds or fog at any given time.Passengers with heart conditions should note that the altitude of Haleakala Crater is approximately 10,000 feet above sea level. Consult your physician prior to the cruise should you have doubts about your ability to participate.
