A perfect half-day tour for passengers who are due to fly, you will enjoy a unique tour of Windsor Castle, one of Britain's most treasured landmarks. Head through stunning countryside to Windsor Great Park, 1,000 glorious acres of glorious woodland, eventually arriving at one of Queen Elizabeth's favourite homes, Windsor Castle. Tour the majestic State Apartments, which boast painted ceilings, enormous fireplaces, priceless paintings and antiques. Cross the courtyard to view one of the most beautiful religious buildings in England, St. George's Chapel; building began on this striking chapel in 1475 by King Edward IV and took 51 years to complete. Then enjoy free time to explore the main part of pretty Windsor town, which was established back in the Middle Ages. Browse the many shops and boutiques that line the quiet streets of this ancient town before boarding the motorcoach for the airport.
Special Notes:
This tour is available to passengers disembarking in Dover with flights departing Heathrow after 5pm.Dress in comfortable layered clothing and wear walking shoes. There is a moderate amount of walking required to visit the various parts of Windsor Castle. Windsor can be closed without notice for Royal functions.
This tour does not include a meal. There is free time to purchase refreshments whilst in Windsor. Local currency is required.
St. George's Chapel is closed on Sundays for religious services.
Queuing be required to access the Castle due to the reinforcement of security measures.
Windsor Castle is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
