Did you know that humpback whales like to play tourist too? Between December and April, more than 8,000 humpback whales journey over 3,500 miles to Hawaii where they congregate to breed, calf, and nurse their young. And the crystalline waters of Kona play host to a wide and breathtaking variety. Experience it all aboard a 65′ open-air catamaran that offers 360-degree panoramic views from the covered deck. Make sure to have your binoculars and camera ready to capture the moment when you spot a whale breaching up and out of the water-the U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain will get as close as 100 yards! During your excursion, you can hear singing humpback whales through underwater hydrophones, as well as see spinner dolphins, pilot and sperm whales, manta rays, sea turtles, and more. The naturalist will provide fun and informative interpretations of the humpback whale's behaviors and characteristics and answer questions.
