Description

Easy activity

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Set off on adventure when you board an Alaska-built expedition vessel and head into the waterways of the coastal wilderness. Be sure to bring along a camera as you depart Ketchikan's picturesque harbor, passing colorful floatplanes and fishing boats. Nestled in the midst of the Tongass National Forest, Ketchikan's forested slopes and rugged coastline make for breathtaking vistas. Your captain will use knowledge of the local tides, weather and seasonal considerations in choosing your route to ensure the maximum opportunity to view wildlife. Search for humpback and orca whales, porpoises, and harbor seals, to name a few. Cruise along the exquisite coastline of Tongass Narrows for scenic photos on your return to port with your ship as the final backdrop!

Special Notes:

Wildlife sightings are frequent, yet not guaranteed. This tour operates in all weather conditions, and guests should dress in warm layers.
