Ever wonder what life's like for Alaska's hearty lumberjacks? Find out as you watch rugged, real working lumberjacks compete head-to-head in the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. From the pier, it's just a short walk to the covered, heated and cushioned grandstand. During the action-packed show, you'll see Alaska's frontier lumberjacks battle British Columbia's premier woodsmen in a no-holds-barred competition for the title "Bull of the Woods." These world champion athletes are featured in springboard chopping, buck sawing, axe throwing, log rolling and the thrilling 50-foot tree climb, while your colorful host shares stories of lumberjack lore. Before the show, pick up a souvenir at the gift shop, or enjoy a snack before settling in for an exceptional show filled with music, excitement and lots of laughs. Afterwards, you're free to wander the town, or simply take the short walk back to your ship.
Special Notes:
No charge for children two years of age and younger. Videotaping of the show is not permitted, but still photography is welcome. Guests make their own way to the show on a 5- to 10-minute walk from the pier.This tour can accommodate electric wheelchairs and scooters. Passengers with mobility considerations must contact the onboard Tour Office at least 48 hours prior to the excursion to ensure arrangements can be made to meet their particular needs. Ketchikan is sometimes a tender port. Please be sure to read the "Accessible Cruising" information on the home page of Princess.com.
