Visit Haleakala National Park where you can view the volcanic crater, then explore the wonders of the deep at the Maui Ocean Center on this all-day excursion. En route to Haleakala, your motorcoach travels a circuitous road, traveling uphill for miles to park headquarters. Last erupting in 1790, the volcano's massive crater is over seven-miles long and three-miles wide. The crater floor is located 3,000 feet below the rim and dotted with plant life and cinder cones. Enjoy the breathtaking view at the crater 's rim. Then savor an island-style lunch at a local venue. At Maui Ocean Center, see dozens of amazing exhibits include the Living Reef, a Marine Mammal Discovery Center, a Touch Pool and the Living Journey, where you can walk through a 54-foot underwater transparent tube surrounded by all matter of marine life, including sharks, the great hunters of the sea. You'll have time to visit the gift shop, offering souvenirs, such as apparel, art, books, jewelry and Hawaiian crafts before we re-board the motorcoach for the return route back to the ship.
Special Notes:
