During your excursion, you'll learn how Grenada is one of the world's most important producers of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and allspice with visits to Laura Herb and Spice Garden. At this garden you will discover the history of this estate and the crops that are produced. Learn how the spices are treated and made ready for export, you'll travel to the picture-postcard Grand Etang Lake. Situated 1,700 feet above sea level, the lake rests inside the crater of an extinct volcano surrounded by a treasure trove of tropical flora. Next, you'll head to Annandale Falls, where rushing water is framed by hanging ferns and flowering plants. Your return route to the ship stops at Fort Frederick, which offers a spectacular panorama of the harbor.
