See the John Glenn space capsule commemorating the Mercury Friendship 7 capsule that plunged into the ocean near Grand Turk in 1962. Admire the island's unusual salt ponds and snap photos with the iconic Grand Turk sign and 19th-century lighthouse that stands guard over the beautiful coastline. At the Botanical and Cultural Garden, engage in an acrylic painting class suitable for both novice and experienced painters. Stroll over to Grand Turk Museum to peruse exhibits showcasing the island's cultural history. The Panoramic Grand Turk Painting Tour cover charge includes the $3 per person admission charge for entry into the TCI National Museum. There is walking from the bus to the Grand Turk sign to take pictures, there is walking from the bus to enter into the museum, from the museum walking into the garden, and there is walking from the garden to and along the craft market strip. Be prepared to walk on rough, uneven, gravel and/or unpaved surfaces. Biodegradable sunscreen, mosquito repellent, sunglasses, nonslip comfortable shoes, and clothes that can get paint on them are advised.
