Revel in the unspoiled charms of the Scottish Highlands with a full day excursion that includes a tour of magnificent Inveraray Castle, photo stops and plenty of shopping. First on the itinerary is a visit to the picturesque village of Luss. Upon arrival, you can stroll past stone cottages, walk out onto the pier for a closer look at Loch Lomond or peruse the quaint shops for souvenirs. Then, you'll continue on to Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the seat of the Duke of Argyll, head of the Campbell clan. Tour highlights include the collection of family portraits, tapestries, and the Armory Hall, which alone contains 1,300 pieces of art, and finely appointed rooms boasting an exquisite collection of French 18th-century furniture, English china, family artifacts and objects d'art. Shop in the castle gift shop and have lunch on your own in town before returning to Greenock.
