Steeped in history, Edinburgh's famed Border Country provides an opportunity to photograph the ruins of the 12th-century Dryburgh Abbey and visit the Floors Castle, still in use today. Board your motorcoach and travel to Dryburgh Abbey, one of four abbeys founded by David I in the 12th century. Then, drive to Floors Castle, the stately home of the Duke of Roxburghe. The castle has been in continuous use by the family since it was built in 1721. One of the few castles you will see that is still a private home, it has a unique warmth and personal atmosphere. Re-board your motorcoach for a short drive back to Kelso where you'll have a scenic tour of Edinburgh with time for independent sightseeing or lunch on your own.
Special Notes:
