Set off on a 45-minute ferry ride to the mainland, then board a motorcoach to the majestic Temples of Tulum, where a certified guide will accompany you through the temple walls to 'El Castillo,' The Temple of the Descending God, The Temple of the Water and the Temple of the Frescos. Continue on to a Mayan village, where you'll learn how modern Mayan descendants live today. Walk through the Mayan Jungle, then cool off in the refreshing waters of a cenote. Canoes are available for those wanting to paddle through a lagoon channel to admire the exotic vegetation. A fresh tortilla demonstration whets your appetite for a typical Mayan lunch. Return to port at the end of this exciting day.
Special Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, hat, and reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind of sunscreen is allowed in the water). To avoid sunburn, bring light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up.
