A picturesque drive that delves into the cultural heritage of Bonaire begins this adventure that winds its way through Kralendijk and along a scenic route to Rincon Village in the heart of the island. Along the way, you'll pass Goto Lake to catch a glimpse of the flamingos that roam the shoreline. Travel via the village roads with explanations of the various buildings and churches that feature artifacts, literature and local artwork. Stop in a nice, shady spot to sip the local cactus liqueur. Then, climb back on your transportation to discover the stunning west coast and head further to the southern part of the island to the salt flats and salt mountains. See the original slave huts that were used as shelters for the slaves working in the salt flats and take a gander at the cone shaped white-salt mountains before heading back to the pier.
