Travel to Downpatrick and walk in the footsteps of the world's most celebrated saint on this full-day adventure with multiple photo opportunities and lunch on your own. You will visit St. Patrick's Centre for an interactive experience that chronicles the epic story of Ireland's patron saint. Next, you are free to explore this traditional Northern Ireland town and grab a bite to eat on your own. Continue to Down Cathedral to witness the unique Regency box-pews and the bishop's throne, a reminder of the days when trials were held in the cathedral. Stop for a photo of St. Patrick's grave, then head to Saul Church, a replica of an early Christian church. Next, take a short ferry ride crossing to Portaferry on the Ards Peninsula enjoying views of the banks of Lough Strangford, the countryside and farm villages before reaching Grey Abbey. There will be time for a short visit before your return journey to Belfast port.
