For those with a thirst for adventure, spending a half-day at Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park is sure to hit the spot. Begin your experience with a short Discover Barbados film. Continue to the Monkey Zipline, where five platforms and a secure system of cables crisscross more than 100 feet above the lush vegetation and indigenous flora and fauna below. Back on terra firma, stroll along a picturesque nature trail and learn more about the thriving ecosystem of this wildlife reserve. The day concludes with a Mount Gay Rum Experience, which introduces the craftsmanship of this elixir and its place in Barbados history as you sip and savor three different blends. Visit the Green Monkey Bar & Grill for refreshment (at your own expense) and check out the photo desk to purchase a personal memento of your experience. Settle in for a relaxing drive back to port after this exhilarating day.
Special Notes:
Ziplining carries a weight limit of no more than 285 lbs. Harnesses and headgear must be fitted appropriately. Fully enclosed shoes/sneakers and pants/trousers are mandatory for ziplining. Sunscreen and insect repellant are recommended. Bring cash or credit card for lockers, gifts, photos, souvenirs and snacks. A signed waiver form is required for each guest. The legal drinking age in Barbados is 18 years of age. Minimum age for the zipline experience is 6 years old, and the adult is required to zip with the child. This tour involves climbing of steps and wooden, paved and gravel inclined surfaces. This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, recent surgeries, guests with knee and back problems. There is no maximum age, but all participants must have full mobility. Guests are asked to ensure that they be mindful of the greenspace of the eco-adventure park. There is no touching or breaking off of the formations within the cave. There is no littering. All bins are to be used to dispose of any trash. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers. Free time is included for persons to browse the souvenir shop or make purchases from the Bar & Grill. Flash can be used inside of the cave. There are 54 steps on the nature trail. No camouflage is to be worn on the island.Details
