Explore the wonders of Barbados above and below ground on this tour at Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park. A 45-minute scenic drive brings you to the welcome center to see the short Discover Barbados film before embarking on a walk along the picturesque nature trail lined with exquisite and exotic vegetation. Then see the wonders that grow underground on the Harrison's Cave Signature Cave Tour, where you'll gear up with a helmet and descend in an electric tram deep within incredible limestone caves, which showcase stalactites and stalagmites formed over hundreds of years, sparkling waterfalls, crystal formations and limpid pools. Refresh and recharge with a light Barbadian snack and tropical drink at the Green Monkey Bar & Grill (at your own expense) before engaging in Mount Gay Rum Experience to learn the island's history of rum, followed by a tasting of Barbados's iconic spirit. Return to port on a relaxed drive after this fascinating day.
Special Notes:
There are elevators which take guests from the main building down to the cave interpretation center. Most areas are flat but with some being a combination of cobblestones, gravel and concrete. There are also some slight inclines, especially in the area of the nature trail. Sneakers or comfortable shoes are recommended / Camouflage is not allowed to be worn on the island. The legal drinking age in Barbados is 18 years of age. Not suitable for pregnant women or persons who cannot tolerate alcohol.Guests are asked to ensure that they be mindful of the greenspace of the eco-adventure park. There is no touching or breaking off of the formations within the cave. There is no littering. All bins are to be used to dispose of any trash. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers. Free time is included for persons to browse the souvenir shop or make purchases from the Bar & Grill. Flash can be used inside of the cave. There are 54 steps on the nature trail.
