See Auckland from a local's point-of-view with a tour of the Auckland Museum followed by a narrated driving tour that showcases some of the city's most famous attractions. Begin the day with a short drive to the Auckland Museum. This neoclassical building houses exhibits on New Zealand and Pacific Island cultures and showcases an extensive collection of Polynesian artifacts. Explore with your guide or independently. The day continues with a panoramic drive past many of the city's highlights. See the downtown area and note the contrasts in architectural styles: modern skyscrapers and restored Victorian buildings. View the colonial-style shops that line the charming streets of Parnell Village, an exclusive shopping district. Make a photo stop at a scenic viewpoint and make a roundtrip crossing over the Harbour Bridge. You'll continue through the city and return to port.
