Coorong National Park
Located at the end of the Murray River, Coorong is an important breeding area for the Australian pelican and refuge for numerous species of migratory birds. Explore this distinctive landscape Park and learn the history of its extraordinary locks by boat and on foot. From the river port of Goolwa, you'll embark on a gentle cruise to the Goolwa Barrage, through the lock to view the mouth of the river and into the pristine waters of the Coorong National Park. When you arrive at Godfrey's Landing, you'll disembark for a guided walk through the sand dunes to the undisturbed white sandy beaches of the Great Southern Ocean. Back on the boat, you'll cruise further into the Coorong, learn about the benefits and environmental impacts on the river's century-old lock system while admiring the beauty of your surroundings.

Bring your camera for incredible wildlife photographs, both on the water and on terra firma. The wetlands of the Coorong National Park provide habitat for many local species as well as for migratory wading birds-many flying in from as far away as Siberia, Alaska, Japan and China.

LUNCH
A delicious lunch of cold meats, a variety of salads, bread rolls, cheese and biscuits, and refreshments will be served as you cruise down the river; on your return trip, you'll be served with afternoon tea.
