Ideal for military buffs and aviation enthusiasts, the Omaka Aviation Heritage Center, one of the world's largest private collections of Great War aircraft and artifacts, presents the Knights of the Sky exhibit. Showcasing the personal collection of Lord of the Rings director, Peter Jackson, several reenactments feature real-life WWI battles brought back to life with unerring realism though dioramas created by Wingnut Films and enhanced by lifelike mannequins by Weta Workshop. See personal items of Eddie Rickenbacker and Manfred von Richthofen and rare planes such as the Caproni Ca.22 (the last one remaining in the world), the Fokker Dr.1 tri-plane, the de Havilland DH-4 and more. Then, delight in the pretty views along the banks of the Taylor River as seen aboard a miniature heritage railroad followed by a visit and a tasting at the Makana Boutique Chocolate Factory.
